At a Special Called Business Meeting after the Worship Service on December 5, 2021, Fine Creek Baptist Church voted to call Rev. Elwood Vernon Gilmer, Jr. as our Full Time Pastor.  Pastor Vern had been our Interim Pastor since May 30, 2021  We are very excited to have a full time pastor as we have had bi-vocational pastors for quite a while.

Pastor Vern and his wife Phyllis live in Amelia County and he comes to us with a wealth of experience.  He was Licensed to Preach in 1984 and Ordained in 1985.  He has a Master of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Phyllis is a Registered Nurse and they have two daughters.
